Table of Contents

  • Students are each given a different lab safety rule or idea. They then create a poster that clearly illustrates that safety idea. My emphasis (and rubric) is on posters that get their idea across with a quick look. I don't want posters which require 5 minutes to read or are overly complex. As a result, I set a limit on how many words can be on their poster (12), and encourage them to come up with a catchy slogan. I've found it really helps to go through several examples of good and not-so-good posters before they start.
